PROJECT OUTLINE

The recent removal of 2 x 72 metric tonne rectiformers from Tiwai Aluminium Smelters shows how Tiwai continues to ensure continuity of supply. Julian and the Phoenix team were involved in the scope from arranging cranes on site to transporting the units, including road closures, pilots and delivery and cranage at its Invercargill site. These scopes were performed successfully not only in line with New Zealand Aluminium Smelters Zero harm goals but also Phoenix’s Net Zero recycling objectives, hence the Tiwai project manager’s comments of “we have the A-Team on board now”.
